Jake Bergman works with TBG Equity’s partner companies to grow revenue and is also the team lead on evaluating and structuring new investment opportunities.
Prior to launching the TBG Equity search fund, Jake served as a Vice President of Sales & Business Development for a private equity backed environmental consulting firm where, through rapid organic growth and tuck-in acquisitions, the company tripled in size in less than two years. Jake not only ran the deal process for the acquisitions but was also the lead on the integrations. Before joining that company, Jake ran a family office worth north of $500m. In this role, Jake evaluated all investment opportunities and sourced M&A opportunities for the office’s operating company, which was its largest holding company. After completing business school, Jake went on to work as an investment banker for Morgan Stanley where he advised on M&A and leveraged buyout transactions in the San Francisco office. |
Jake is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he graduated as a member of the Dean’s and Commandant’s list. He served through multiple deployments, including Central America and Iraq, and was awarded the Bronze Star with Valor (the 2nd highest medal awarded in the campaign) for his actions during Operation Iraqi Freedom I. After leaving the service, Jake earned his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Jake lives in Orange County with his wife Christen, their daughter Charlotte, son Jacob and dog Maui. He enjoys working out, golf, staying active at Mariners Church, and college football. |
